Summary

I am the Director of the State Adolescent Health Resource Center (SAHRC), partner in the Adolescent and Young Adult Health National Resource Center, and an Instructor in the School of Public Health. SAHRC provides technical assistance and training to build the capacity of youth-serving professionals across the U.S., specifically state-level Title V-funded adolescent health professionals. I am passionate about the health and well-being of young people, and how we can better support their growth and development by creating public systems that implement evidence-informed strategies and practices. For over 20 years, my professional career has focused on translating what we know of best practices in youth development, sexual health education, and clinical services for young people, into practice and policy that directly impacts young people and supports their families. My previous experiences working directly with young people continue to inspire me, as does sharing the innovative strategies my colleagues at the state and local levels employ to advance adolescent and young adult health in their communities.
