I am a board certified, practicing vascular neurologist and clinical and health outcomes researcher. My research focuses on stroke prevention, interventions to improve long-term outcomes in stroke survivors, and improving the quality of stroke care, and the neuro-epidemiology of stroke.

- An understanding of the causes of hospital readmissions for stroke survivors
- Improving the self-management of stroke survivors using mobile technology
- Developing system-based interventions for improving acute stroke care quality
- Helping to explain population trends in stroke rates and stroke survival
- Informing the use of Medicare data for stroke surveillance
