Summary
My research is focused on health economics and health policy, with a particular interest in the productivity of health care providers. A broad goal of my work is to understand the appropriate role for public policy in promoting efficiency in health care markets. My current projects investigate the consequences of hospital closure, the influence of payment reform and the effects of malpractice allegations against physicians.
