I'm a member of the teaching (non-tenure) faculty and I teach introductory biostatistics and statistical software service courses to graduate students. I have previously taught undergraduate introductory statistics courses and statistical communication and consulting. I am particularly interested in how to communicate statistical concepts and analyses to people regardless of their mathematical background. I also consult on projects that interest me, including understanding survey data and environmental analyses. Before studying statistics, I worked as a lab technician in HIV research labs.

Teaching Areas

Since 2017, I have taught PubH 6450, Biostatistics I. In 2018, Dr. Laura Le and I reworked the course (both in person and online) to incorporate active learning, low-stakes assessment, and prompt feedback. I currently teach the in-person version.

I have also taught:
PubH 6414, Biostatistical Literacy,
PubH 7461, Exploring and Visualizing Data in R (with Dr. Julian Wolfson), and
PubH 7462, Advanced Programming and Data Analysis in R.
